Time for a new crop!!
-I got them today, my new crop. I hold in my hand the official class list for this year. Not complete yet though, I have one open spot. Seems there are 5 little boys and 6 little girls so far headed my way in a few weeks. I look forward to the new crop! New friends, new adventures, new challenges and new goals. I'm excited!! A new year for me begins....

I ran into Kate's PK teacher the other day.
She said she has the card we gave her at the end of the year framed on her wall.
I couldn't remember why until I thought about what I wrote.
"Education is the building that will guide her through her future. Thank you for being the cornerstone"

Well thanks! I have a framed letter in my room from one of my kids forever ago. Her Mom wrote what she dictated about things she'd learned and done that year. It's precious! I guess b/c we don't have any of our own yet either...they are truly my babies!! I can put extra time & effort into it too that maybe others can't. It's super rewarding and I love my job!!
I still remember my preschool teacher too!

I didn't know kids were considered "crop" LOL!
Being a fellow (ex) preschool teacher and knowing what teaching entails, I praise you as well for the work you do.
My kid is smart because of his school. (or am I just being a proud mom?)
